Ceremoniële cacao met paddenstoelen: zeven krachten, één intentie

Ceremoniële cacao met paddenstoelen: zeven krachten, één intentie

The Aztecs knew cacao as Theobroma, food of the gods. Mushrooms have been considered sacred plant medicines for centuries, used in ceremonies and rituals for clarity, healing, and connection. The combination of both is not a modern invention. It is an ancient practice with its roots in Meso-American and Eastern traditions.

We distilled that tradition into one blend: seven functional mushrooms, combined with pure ceremonial-grade cacao. Created for your daily moment of intention.

What makes ceremonial cacao special?

Ceremonial-grade cacao is not the cacao you find in the supermarket. It is raw, minimally processed cacao of the highest quality, stored at low temperatures so that all active compounds remain intact. No added sugars, no fillers. Just the pure cacao mass, as it has been used for thousands of years in cacao ceremonies, meditation, and intentional morning rituals.

The active substances are numerous. Theobromine gently stimulates the cardiovascular system and increases blood flow to the brain. Anandamide, the endogenous bliss molecule, supports inner peace and openness. Phenylethylamine (PEA) triggers a similar neurochemical response to a feeling of connection and joy. Cacao is therefore a powerful functional food in itself and an ideal foundation for a conscious daily ritual.

"Cacao opens the heart. Mushrooms sharpen the mind. Together, they turn a morning into something intentional."

The seven mushrooms in our blend

Every mushroom in the Cacaoii blend has been chosen for its own profile and long history. Together, they form a sophisticated, complementary mix that is appreciated for its broad, supportive effect.

Reishi — Adaptogen

For over 2000 years, the most prized mushroom in traditional Chinese medicine. Known as the "mushroom of immortality," Reishi is famous for its adaptogenic properties: traditionally used to help the body deal with stress, calm the mind, and support sleep quality. Rich in triterpenoids and beta-glucans.

Chaga — Antioxidant

Grows on birch trees in cold climates and is considered one of nature's richest sources of antioxidants. Used for centuries in Siberian and Scandinavian traditions as an immune-supporting tea, known for its high concentration of polyphenols and melanin, compounds associated with neutralizing oxidative stress.

Lion's Mane — Cognitive

One of the most well-researched functional mushrooms. Lion's Mane contains unique compounds, hericenones and erinacines, which in research are associated with the stimulation of Nerve Growth Factor (NGF): a protein that plays a role in nerve cell health and brain plasticity. Traditionally used in China and Japan for mental clarity and focus.

Cordyceps Sinensis — Vitality

Used in Tibet for over 2000 years to support energy, endurance, and vitality. Cordyceps is known for its association with ATP production, the body's energy molecule, and is studied for its potential in oxygen utilization. Popular among athletes and those with an active lifestyle.

Shiitake — Immune & Culinary

One of the most widely used mushrooms in Asian cuisines and traditional medicine. Shiitake is rich in beta-glucans and lentinan, polysaccharides linked to immune support, and contains ergothioneine, an antioxidant associated for centuries with a long and healthy life.

Maitake — Adaptogen & Balance

Also known in Japan as the "dancing mushroom," due to the joy finders would feel upon discovering it. Maitake is rich in D-fraction polysaccharides and is traditionally valued in Japanese folk medicine for its ability to keep the body in balance. It is being studied for its relationship with immune modulation and blood sugar regulation.

White Fungus (Tremella) — Skin & Hydration

One of the oldest beauty secrets in the Chinese tradition. Tremella fuciformis has been used for over 1000 years in Chinese court culture for its association with clear, hydrated skin. The mushroom contains unique polysaccharides with a water-retention mechanism that is compared to hyaluronic acid, but in plant-based, organic form. A soft, subtle addition to the blend.

In combination with the theobromine and anandamide from ceremonial cacao, a synergy is created: the cacao provides warmth and openness, the mushrooms provide direction and resilience. No overwhelming effects, just a subtle, consistent quality of presence.

A conscious morning ritual

More and more people are looking for a more conscious alternative to coffee, something that gives energy without nervousness, brings focus without the subsequent crash. Ceremonial cacao with functional mushrooms fits this need perfectly. Where coffee stimulates via adrenaline, this combination works via blood flow, adaptogenic support, and ancient plant wisdom.

It is also no coincidence that cacao and mushrooms appear together in the world of intentional practices, from meditation and breathwork to conscious daily rituals. For those who already work with a conscious mushroom protocol, such as the products supported by Fungki, ceremonial cacao can be a valuable addition to that same ritual. Both plants have been used for centuries to deepen the quality of presence, not to alter it.

Why Cacaoii made this blend

The Cacaoii mushroom blend was born out of respect for these traditions and the logic behind them. We didn't want a supplement. We wanted a ritual, something you hold in your hands every morning with the knowledge that every ingredient has a reason for being there.

Pure ceremonial-grade cacao. Seven powerful mushrooms. Nothing extra. Created for your daily moment of intention.
