Origin

Our cacao is ethically sourced from a small cooperative of dedicated farmers near Lago de Yojoa in Honduras, including many female-owned farms. These families care deeply for their land, working together to maintain fair living standards and protect the region’s lush, volcanic soil. The beans are then carefully processed by the Heart of Cacao in Amsterdam to preserve their rich, natural quality.

When to use

An alternative to coffee, matcha or hot chocolate. Perfect for slow mornings or calming moments during the day. Ideal if you prefer less caffeine or want to cut back on coffee. Let your daily cup become a simple, comforting ritual.

For those familiar with cacao, you know the drill. In quantities above 40 grams per serving, it can also be used for ceremonial preparation.

How to prepare

No ceremony required. Just real cacao, milk or water, and a few minutes for yourself.

STEP 01.

Measure

Use 10-15 grams of cacao, about 1 tablespoon.

STEP 02.

Add Liquid

Pour in 150–200 ml of your favorite milk, hot or cold. Avoid boiling liquid to keep the nutrients intact.

STEP 03.

Blend or Froth

Use a blender, electric frother,
or your matcha whisk to create a
smooth, creamy texture. Stirring also works, but blending gives the best result.

Why people love Cacao(ii)

Natural energy

Cacao contains theobromine, a natural stimulant that provides gradual, long-lasting energy. It supports alertness without the sharp spikes or crashes associated with coffee.

Gentle on sleep

Unlike coffee, cacao doesn’t overstimulate your nervous system. Its natural compounds help you unwind in the evening without disrupting your sleep rhythm.

Regulates stress

Naturally rich in magnesium, cacao plays a role in normal nervous system function. This mineral contributes to energy metabolism and muscle function.

Rich in antioxidants

Cacao is one of the most antioxidant-dense foods due to its flavonoid content. These compounds are involved in protecting cells from oxidative stress.

More balans during your cycle

Cacao contains naturally occurring minerals involved in normal energy metabolism and muscle function. Many women choose it as a warm, nourishing drink during their cycle.
